This is Abel Mendoza's top white wine.
A perfect blend of 5 different varietals; Viura (aka Macabeu), Malvoisie, White Tempranillo, Torrontés et White Grenache.
Vinification
The blend changes according to the vintage, so as to add volume or freshness.
The wine in barrel fermented, but without malolactic fermentation. It stays 5 to 6 months on its lees.
Tasting analysis
Wood notes in the nose when young; mais as years go by, everything melts into place, for there is substance in this wine.
A perfect balance on the palate between acidity, alcohol and fruit.
This wine is full bodied, but fresh, and has a log aftertaste.
