Description
A classic in the Augustus range, the Cabernet-Sauvignon reaches new height each year.
This "Mediterranean Bordeaux" is made with older vines yielding a much more 'serious' wine than 20 years ago.
Vinification
Selection of vine blocks.
As these are close to the sea, the harvest ofter takes place a soon as the middle of August.
Tasting analysis
Nice red colour, from bright to dark. Ripe Bordeaux-style aromas - red fruit, leather, licorice, santal wood and a hint of cocoa.
The first mouthfeel is a little austere, but then the round and juicy tannines soften the impression. Nice fruity finis

5 to 8 years

Serve between 16 and 18°C, after decanting (at least during the first years).
