Description
This is Ignacio's and Martina's entry level wine, made with grapes from several villages of the Valladolid Province (hence the name): Mucientes, Valbuena de Duero and Pedrosa del Rey. Old vines from the 1940's.
Vinification
Spontaneous fermentation with natural wild yeasts, at controlled temperature.
Part of the wine gets it malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, another part in wooden vats.
The wine is the aged in 250 and 500 litre barrels.
Tasting analysis
Nice bright red colour. Red fruit (raspberries) on the nose, with a hint of vanilla from the ageing in wood . Good acidity. A well-structured wine, wide and long on the palate. A lot of fruit.
Storage potential
Until 2023.
Serving
Decant to give the wine some air.
