Description
Urbezo, a regional artist and a good friend of Santiago Garcia's, was both a mentor and a source inspiration for him. The estate and most of the wines are named after the painter.
Vinification
10 months of ageing in French and American oak barrels.
Tasting analysis
Ruby red, with traces of evolution.
A southernly touch on the nose; rep cherries, sweet spices, toasty notes, vanilla and pepper.
More austere on the palate, solid, almost closed before some air is given. A very good balance between the freshness of the Garnacha, the juicy, Mediterranean spiciness of Merlot and the more austere notes of the Cariñena. Very smooth finish, with more than a hint of noble oak.
Storage potential
8 years.
Serving
Serve at 18°C in a large glass, after decanting, so as to enjoy the full aromatic range of the wine.
