The 2008 Cervoles Negre is a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha and 15% Merlot aged in new and used French oak barrels for 18 months. At age fiveh the wine seems to have absorbed the wood and has managed to develop a complex bouquet of smoked meat, black cherries, Mediterranean herbs, leather and black pepper. The wine is quite subtle and harmonious, with a medium-bodied palate, good balance, acidity and freshness, with some flavors that will remind you of the main grape in the blend, with fine-grained, fully-resolved tannins. A very well-crafted red blend, a little international-styled, but very pleasant to drink. Drink now-2018.
