R. Parker (94/100)
The expressive, clean and varietal 2023 Coma Calcari is a Mediterranean Garnacha Blanca from limestone soils that fermented with indigenous yeasts, with 70% of the wine in 500-liter barrels and 50% in stainless steel, where the wine matured for nine months. Despite its ripeness and 14.7% alcohol, it shows quite balanced and harmonious, not disguising its ripeness. It's elegant, floral and fresh, with a sleek palate, velvety mouthfeel and notes of quince and aniseed, revealing its Mediterranean core. The 2,388 bottles produced show the reduction in yields in the first vintage of drought.
