The 2023 El Mentridano Blanco is a new white produced with 10-year-old vines in Méntrida on sandy granite soils. It has a golden color, perhaps because of the skin maceration, and it fermented in stainless steel and concrete, where they matured. This is their first year, so they tried different macerations. It has contained ripeness and only 11.5% alcohol with very good freshness, even after going through malolactic fermentation. It's expressive, with some influence from the skin contact, with unusual mustard seed notes, with a better palate than nose, sapid and fresh, vibrant and with a salty finish. It's surprisingly expressive and fresh. They produced some 5,200 bottles.
