Les nouveaux millésimes 2023 de Pingus et Flor de Pingus sont arrivés chez nous cette semaine
Et ces deux vins sont un véritable triomphe pour la région et pour le domaine.
Voici ce que Peter Sisseck lui-même en dit :
“Pingus 2023 is easily one of the best wines we have made. We have come a long way from the Pingus’s of the past, it is all very transparent and balanced. In a strange way I feel like the Pingus of the last couples of years, are transcending the vintages. It is much more Pingus than a wine of its vintage.”
“Flor de Pingus 2023 is a wine of balance.
The combination with older vines, and now the younger vines from our own masal section are starting to find a great balance of freshness and depth. Never an overpowering wine, but always playing on balance and light of touch. The 2023 Flor is playing the role of the charmer of the year.”
Vous avez donc aujourd’hui la toute première opportunité de commander ces vins (NB : si vous avez acheté ces vins en primeur en juin 2023, vos bouteilles seront livrées courant janvier 2026) !
Après un millésime 2021 et 2022 chauds, 2023 fut à nouveau chaud et sec, y compris en Ribera del Duero. Les vendanges ont eu lieu entre le 8 et le 23 septembre.
Mais le résultat montre que, face au réchauffement climatique et à la sécheresse, le travail rigoureux à la vigne et des rendements faibles restent la clé pour obtenir des vins qui conservent fraîcheur et finesse.

It was warm and dry, and the wines are more fruit-driven; they are less powerful and less concentrated (from stress?), juicier and less tannic than the 2022s. The wines are more floral and fragrant, in some cases a little lighter but, in the case of the 2023 Pingus, with breathtaking elegance. They are a triumph over the very dry and adverse conditions of the year.
Conséquence directe : nous avons reçu des quantités nettement plus limitées de Flor de Pingus 2023 que l’an dernier.
Mais il y a aussi une bonne nouvelle : il nous reste encore 18 bouteilles de Pingus 2023 (99/100) disponibles à la vente, après la campagne primeur de juin 2024.
Et encore mieux : le Flor de Pingus 2023 est proposé à un prix inférieur à celui du 2022 !
