Tasting Dinner De Pastorie - Rioja vs Ribera del Duero

Beautiful classic white Rioja wine composed of several grapes sourced from plots in Fontaleche, Sajazarra and Labastida. Complex white wine that perfectly reflects their philosophy.

Limited and original project from the Anton family. Orben's wines are limited and distinct in the range anyway, but this Chocolate is another story in its own right. Sourced from a number of small vineyards totalling 0.8 ha at an altitude of 520 m, located between Laguardia and Villabuena de Alava. Very poor terroir with sandy soils and little water. 3 vintages are always blended into 1 wine, This nr3 is a coupage of 2020, 2021 and 2022.

This "village wine" (the village in question being San Vincente de la Sonsierra, in Rioja Alta) is a blend of four different parcels lying at some 500 metres above sea level.

The Viñas Viejas is a selection of the better (organic) vineyards of the village of "La Aguilera". Vineyards with an average age of 60 years are used for this wine, coming from the 2 terroirs : sandy cobblestone soils and limestone-clay soils. Being a field blend, the coupage consists of 98% Tempranillo and 2% Albillo. Moreover, a top price/quality !

Macán Clásico is the result of a rigorous selection in the vineyard.Only the best parcels in San Vicente de la Sonsierra are used.

The new cult wine from the Ribera del Duero. A 100% Tempranillo made by Xavier Ausás, who was the oenologist and technical director at Vega Sicilia from 1988 to 2015.

This Old Vine Reserva is a real gem. All the features of a Gran Reserva.

The Gran Reserva is only vinified in the best vintages. It is made from a selection of old vineyards (up to 830 metres altitude) with vines averaging 60 years of age. In years when the quality required for a Gran Reserva is not achieved, the grapes are used for the Reserva. This was the case for the 2017 vintage.
