Roda in Ribera del Duero?
Many of our customers and wine lovers will say: “Of course, we’ve known that for years!”
And yet, quite a few of them are still unaware that Roda, in addition to its famous Rioja bodega, also owns a beautiful small estate in Ribera del Duero.
And here too, true to their reputation, the team at Roda is fully committed to quality.

The philosophy is the same at both estates: two wines with two different approaches. The regular
Corimbo (more about that one on Sunday!) focuses on red fruit and is ready to drink sooner, while
Corimbo I Reserva is built for longer ageing and shows more black fruit.
Ribera del Duero naturally produces wines with more structure and power than Rioja. Yet these wines bear the unmistakable Roda signature: a perfect balance between fruit and tannins, without excessive extraction and with beautifully judged oak.
Nothing is left to chance.
Roda stands for perfection in every area. Research and development have played an important role in its winemaking from the very beginning, and this is still the case today. An entire team works on this every day, both in Rioja and Ribera del Duero.

The Ribera del Duero estate is named after the village where its vineyards are located:
“La Horra”.
This is also where the vineyards of our renowned
Pingus are found. In fact, the two estates are neighbours!
Only
old-vine Tempranillo is used here. The vineyards are farmed organically, with great respect for their surroundings.

The Corimbo I Reserva that has just arrived is the 2019 vintage. Nothing less than an outstanding vintage for the region!
This wine is pure class, with beautifully controlled power, depth and aroma. It also has incredible length on the palate.
Without a doubt, this is one of my favourite wines from the region. It also has excellent ageing potential.
