White wine from Pingus?
Viña Corrales, the Fino from Pingus owner Peter Sisseck
Indeed,
Peter Sisseck has also lost his heart to Jerez de la Frontera. He purchased a small, old sherry house in Jerez (San Francisco Javier) and has made it entirely his own. His ambition is to craft terroir-driven wines with aging potential.
The first “saca” arrived at our store four years ago and sold out immediately. The latest “saca” has just landed! In total, only 180 bottles of the fantastic Fino Viña Corrales.
Last year, it received an outstanding score of 96/100 from The Wine Advocate!

Do you want to be among the first to get Peter Sisseck's Fino?
We have 180 bottles of Viña Corrales divided into 30 packs of 6 bottles, meaning we can make a maximum of 30 customers happy.
R. Parker: 96/100
"The NV Fino Viña Corrales Pago
Balbaína was bottled in the spring of 2023, as they try to bottle in the
spring when the flor is more active. They have realized that the wine
has a lot of influence from the weather of the year, and 2023 was a warm
year. This is closer to the 2021 bottling than the 2022. It's creamy,
vinous, round and lush. They are now refilling the barrels with wine
from their own vineyards, and the third criadera is almost 100% from
their own vineyard. This is very tasty, almost salty and with a marked
bitter twist in the finish, briny, with reminiscences of green olives
and esparto grass."
Bodegas San Francisco Javier is the joint venture in Jerez from Peter
"Pingus" Sisseck and Carlos "Hacienda Monasterio" del Río. I tasted the
2021 bottling of their Fino, which was even better, fresher and more
elegant than the already surprising 2020. I published this note as part
of the portfolio of his different wines, and I include it here for
context and completeness.
