Verónica Ortega, our winemaker with the most impressive résumé in Spain – from Romanée-Conti to Raúl Pérez and many stops in between.
In my opinion, she makes the best white wines in Bierzo.
But not only that:
In 2023, she truly outdid herself – also in red!

We’ve just received her brand-new red cuvée, as limited as always:
only 120 bottles of
Cáreo.
A cru from an old vineyard plot of less than one hectare, planted mainly with Mencía, complemented by white varieties Palomino, Doña Blanca and Godello.
Wonderfully refined and elegant stuff!
The first thing I did? Set aside 6 bottles for myself.
This is Bierzo at its absolute best!
