Good news
This week, the new 2022 Pingus and
Flor de Pingus have arrived
You now have the very first opportunity to order these wines (NB: If you purchased the wine en primeur in June 2023, your bottles will be delivered to you in the coming weeks) After all, 2022 is an outstanding vintage worldwide.
After a warm 2021, 2022 was once again warm and dry, including in Ribera del Duero. The harvest took place between September 7 and 19, at a time when only 10% of other estates had begun picking.

However, the results show that in times of warming and drought, hard work in the vineyard and low yields can be the key to producing wines with freshness and finesse.
In the words of Peter Sisseck himself:
“The wines are delicious, wonderfully precise, lovely colors with some ruby sparkles and tons of freshness. Not at all the heavy and clumsy style you would expect from such a warm and dry vintage. I am very proud of and happy with what we have produced this year, and yet again it demonstrates that vineyard handling, biodynamics, lots of soil-life activity can cope with a lot of adversities.”
The result, however, is that we have far fewer bottles of Flor de Pingus 2022 available compared to last year.
But there is also good news: This year, we still have 6 bottles of Pingus 2022 (98-100/100) left for sale after the en primeur sales of June 2023.
