Juan Bello is the name of a paraje, or zone, in the village of Masdache, a volcanic mountain with traditional holes planted with centenary vines, Malvasía Volcánica with Listán Blanco and Diego, and there's quite a lot of Listán Negro in the zone, but here they produced a white. The 2020 Juan Bello has 12.57% alcohol, a low pH of 2.99 and notable acidity. It is vibrant, balanced and super tasty, juicy and electric, with pungent flavors and a long-lasting, salty finish. The zone has a strong Atlantic influence with the Alisios winds. It fermented in 500-liter oak barrels, where it matured for eight months. This is superb, truly spectacular, the white I was dreaming of while looking at the amazing vineyards here. Unfortunately, there was only one barrel and therefore only 606 bottles.
