You read that right:
A white GRAN RESERVA
Now the fifth vintage of this outstanding white wine in our range:
2017
And it comes from no less than one of our very best estates in Rioja: Remírez de Ganuza.
This is a 100% Viura from a tiny vineyard of just under 1.5 hectares. The vines are now nearly 50 years old.

If you're into top-tier white Burgundies, this wine is definitely for you.
What’s more, as a Gran Reserva, this wine has already spent several years maturing at the estate – making it the perfect match for classic fish dishes.
But be warned: don’t underestimate the vintage! The bottle should be decanted well in advance to allow the wine to breathe and evolve in the decanter and then in the glass.
It received the highest score for a Spanish white wine in Decanter, and they say it still has a 10-year ageing potential!
We only have 120 bottles and 12 magnums of this 2017 available for Belgium. Extremely limited production. Act fast if you want to get yours.
* Maximum 6 bottles per customer! (available in boxes of 3 or single bottles).
And Tim Atkin compares it to a Grand Cru white Burgundy:
"This world-class Viura white comes from the Olagar vineyard at 620 metres in San Vicente de la Sonsierra and deserves comparison with a top Grand Cru white Burgundy, such is its intensity, complexity and ageing potential. Fermented in new French barrels, it's waxy, rich and layered, with flavours of aromatic spices, lemon butter and vanilla oak and thrilling minerality, freshness and palate length"
