R. Parker (95/100)
The 2024 La Llorona is a lot more delicate after the powerful 2023. It displays a deep golden color and an expressive and open nose with notes of yellow fruit. It finished at 13% alcohol, but it's all in very good balance, with a lot of freshness and acidity and very good precision. This is more civilized than the 2023, with freshness and intensity, with everything where it should be. It reminds me of an ouillé Savagnin from Jura, with a chalky, tasty, almost salty finish. There's always an oxidative side that appears in bottle, after one year, as is the case here, which increased the reminiscences with the Jura wines. Verónica explained that she had those sensations with the wine just after I had written it. It's complete and long and has a lot of energy. It's a more elegant version of 2023, at a similar quality level. 7,954 bottles produced.
