Inspired by the collaboration of winemaker Elías López Montero, who produces Pinot Noir in Patagonia, the new 2017 Ulterior - Parcela 6 Garnacha was produced with a soft extraction. He used 50% full clusters for the fermentation in stainless steel followed by malolactic and 11 months of aging in large centenary tinajas. This has a pale ruby color and a nose of very ripe red berries, a bit heady and jammy. The palate is tasty and juicy with very fine tannins and soft earthiness. Promising.
