Behind each of these bodegas is a fascinating story, "written" by skilful and inspired wine-makers: Roda, Albet i Noya, Vega Sicilia, Costers del SIurana, Artadi, Teofilo Reyes, Pérez Pascuas, Can Ràfols dels Caus, Mauro ... Their estates are often located in breathtaking surroundings, while some young and adventurous producers have set up shop in historic buildings. All this has contributed to the book's gorgeous photography, which adds considerably to the enjoyment of an already fascinating text.

Mas d'En Gil is an outstanding wine estate, whose old vines produce top cuvées; but it also hosts some 2,000 old Arbequina olive-trees. This does not mean a huge oil production, but the quality is superb. The olive grove lies in the Siurana appellation, which is roughly the same area as the DO Priorat for wine. This oil is extra virgin and unfiltered.

Gift packaging to combine with our Ginraw range.
