And that’s what he wrote about the Ventoleiro 2022 from "A Barouta", the first wine from the new project by Dani Landi and Fernando García from Comando G in the Sierra de Gredos.

This wine was first tasted by Luis Gutiérrez (Robert Parker’s Spain taster). It is the very first vintage of this top project: 2022. We had already received a very limited quantity in September (some customers have already had the chance to discover it…). However, the quantities were so limited that we never even listed this project on our website.
After persistently requesting extra bottles (since October), it turned out that some distributors in other countries had not taken their allocation.
And we took full advantage of that! Because the next vintage will be released before summer, and
this wine is not for the hesitant! 😉 We didn’t hesitate and secured this extra allocation with great pleasure.
A red, Atlantic wine with a distinctive profile. Biodynamic and made from the typical grape varieties of Galicia’s finest region: Ribeiro.
In this case: 70% Caíño Longo, 20% Albariño, and 10% Tintorera. Aged in a large Stockinger cask for 7 to 8 months.
From the typical Ribeiro terroir: a mix of granite and sand. Stony soils with lots of minerality.
Only 12% alcohol, light in color. Need I say more? Burgundian in character.
The project itself is called "A Barouta", named after the small stone house in San Clodio. It is, in fact, a collaboration between Javier Alén, a native of this beautiful village in Ribeiro, and the boys from Comando G.
