Macán 2021:
The best vintage to date, with the highest score ever!
The most balanced ever, is how R. Parker describes the latest Macán 2021 in his comments. We already had a foretaste last year, when its little brother, the Macán Clásico from the same 2021 vintage, arrived here. That one was a success too.
This Macán is still very little known among our customers.
Of the Macán Clásico and its big brother, the Macán, we only receive a limited number of bottles each year, which are often sold out on reservation alone.
And with this Macán 2021 in particular, it is “now or never”, because it is described as the best to date! No vintage has ever received a higher score.
The wine is made from almost 100% Tempranillo with 1% Graciano, from old vines averaging 60 years of age, a selection from their more than 100 ha of vineyards around San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Ábalos, El Villar and Labastida.
2021 is a lovely Atlantic year with the necessary freshness. In Rioja as a whole, one of the very best vintages of recent years.
