100% Tintilla from Finca Laderas de Teno. Ungrafted vines. The Laderas de Teno plot is located in north-west Tenerife at 700 metres above sea level. Located in the El Palmar valley, in the Teno nature reserve. The vineyard consists of 33 terraces, starting at the foot of a volcano in the middle of the valley. Geologically, this is one of the oldest areas on the island, the result of the first volcanic eruptions. The clay soil is an evolution of the degradation and erosion of the Teno massif. Total production of only 7,000 bottles.

Trial analysis
Deep red colour that tells the rest of the story. Strongly aromatic wine with personality. Besides the subtle grating, we smell some chocolate, red currant, and then a whole range follows. The volcanic blossoms open up and more refined scents emerge. Balanced wine that sets up a little more smoothly after some airing. Direct flavour attack with bite and stunningly few traces of the 24 months of barrel ageing because of the huge fruit tannins in return. The mid-palate releases a little more of the volcanic subsoil, with this also giving the signature of this acidic soil (nice point of acidity). Tintilla is degustatively the least sun-drenched wine of the autochthonous cépages found in the Canary Islands.
