Daniel Landi has become Spain’s star winemaker and the revelation of the Sierra de Gredos region in less than 15 years.
The 2023 vintage is outstanding, but unfortunately suffered from frost damage, so Belgian allocations are very limited.

According to Gutiérrez, who reviews Spain for Parker and knows the region very well, 2023 was warm (like 2022), but with more balance and freshness:
“2023 was also warm, but the reds are clearly fresher than the 2022s, perhaps in a style that falls somewhere between 2021 and 2022. In general, the red wines are lighter, with less alcohol and less sensation of ripeness, and fresher than those from 2022. It’s a year of freshness, elegance and precision.”
