The village red 2023 Valtuille Vino de Villa has a moderate 12.88% alcohol, even lower than in 2022. The grapes are from centenary vines with a field blend of Mencía, Garnacha Tintorera, Trousseau and other whites. It fermented with 30% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in oak vats with a maceration of around 40 days, and it matured in well-seasoned, neutral barrels of different sizes—225, 400 and 500 liters. It showcases the year, which was a year of purity and freshness, with very fine tannins and great balance.

This has a nose of underripe cherries, geraniums and an enveloping floral lift. The palate is juicy and balanced, linear and chiseled, with a nuanced structure and impressive precision. There's a quiet solidity that’s complete and well integrated. Fermented with 25% whole clusters.
