R. Parker (100/100)
Putting my nose in the glass of the 2023 La Muria was like what happened when I smelled the 2021: my heart started beating at a faster pace. The wine has an exhilarating nose of wild berries, flowers and herbs, lifted and ethereal, developing hints of pomegranate and rockrose. The label reads 12.5% alcohol, but in reality, it's a little less, perhaps 12.1% or 12.2%, and it has very fine tannins and heart-stopping balance. They did a very strict selection of the grapes. The wine is super clean and precise, symmetric, kaleidoscopic, with an ethereal quality but with tons of energy and light. I think the hard work has paid off. The tannins are silky, super fine, and the finish is long, clean and very precise. There are 700 bottles of this. It was bottled in May 2025. This is a legend in the making.

This has a very aromatic nose of smoke, violets and red berries, with floral intensity and very precise fruit. The palate is tight and finely knit, with distinct charm and character. It is seamless and ethereal but compact. Very fine, silky tannins. This comes from the highest vineyard in the Bierzo (1,050 meters). Fermented with whole clusters and long maceration. A unique wine produced in very small quantities.
