Les Alcusses jumps from 2020 to the 2023 Les Alcusses, when they have taken the time to fine-tune the profile of the wine, which is now more in line with the rest of the range but showing the distinct character of a more traditional red, together with Maduresa. This is now a different blend, 60% Monastrell, 30% Cariñena and 10% Syrah, as they have removed the Bordeaux varieties. It fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in larger oak containers, larger barrels and 5,000-liter foudres. What they did in 2016 with Maduresa has been done here now, making it more local and Mediterranean, flesh and fine-boned, with integrated oak and perfumed and attractive with floral notes, orange peel, blood oranges and aromatic herbs. It does not lack ripeness, as this has 14% alcohol, and it has a pH of 3.45 and 5.2 grams of acidity.
