Envínate works in several regions across Spain. The common thread in their wines is elegance and an Atlantic character. This Albahra (“small lake”), however, is their Mediterranean wine, while still remaining light-footed and elegant in style.
It is made mainly from Tintorera, sourced from a small 3-hectare vineyard in Almansa planted on clay-limestone soils. The blend is complemented by Moravia Agria, a grape variety of which only about 50 hectares remain planted across the whole of Spain. This grape is known for its high acidity and relatively light colour. The vineyard is located in Manchuela on clay-limestone soils with a sandy top layer.
In 2024, a small amount of Garnacha was also added.
Vinification
Non-intervention philosophy. 50% of the Tintorera is de-stemmed, then stays for 8 months in concrete tanks, while the Moravia Agria est completely de-stemmed and after macerating for 7 days, is sent into 228 litre French oak barrels for 8 months. Sulphur is only added before the bottling.

Trial analysis
Light red colour. Red fruit on the nose - very refined. Confirmation on the palate, with the same fruit, but also a lot of freshness, and very Mediterranean spices. Light bodied, but full of personality.
