The La Petxina vineyard, located in the El Sas zone, forms the basis of this juicy and vibrant red made from grenache and carinyena. Until recently, a small amount of cabernet was included, but today the blend consists exclusively of 70% garnatxa and 30% carinyena.
The soil is composed of spotted phyllite, a light, slate-like formation. The grenache and carinyena vines were planted between 1994 and 1998.
First vintage produced in 2008.
Vinification
The grapes are vinified separately in renovated underground concrete vats.
This is followed by a ten-month ageing period, with 70% in concrete vats and 30% in previously used 3,000-litre foudres.
This is followed by a minimum of 12 months of bottle ageing.

Trial analysis
Nice expression of Grenache (60% of the blend).
Sour cherry, minerality, a spiciness typical of Priorat. Juicy, but also well-structured and with a long finish.
