R. Parker (90/100)
The 2010 Argent Gran Reserva Brut is the more modern sparkling for the Gramona family, a wine that was born with the change of the millennium. It is produced with 100% Chardonnay, matured in contact with the lees for four years and adjusted to six grams of residual sugar with a dosage for their solera wine. Despite being adjusted with some old wine, the acidity is more evident than in the rosé. However the old liqueur d'expédition provided nuttier aromas and the yeasty notes seem to be amplified, with more bakery/brioche echoes. The carbon gas is not as subtle as in the rosé. A fresh, modern and lively Blanc de Blancs. 15,000 bottles.
