This is a new wine for the estate, with 2017 being its first vintage. The Laderas de Teno plot is located in the El Palmar valley, in north-western Tenerife. Located at 700 m, with direct exposure to the very cool winds coming from the North Atlantic. The Teno massif is one of the first geological formations from which the island of Tenerife later emerged. The soil of this part of the island has a perfect combination of clay with volcanic rocks that allow perfect drainage. The history of the island along with the most beautiful varieties found here!
Vinification
The varieties are vinified separately because although they are on the same plot, they ripen at different times. Vinification is done with autochthonous yeasts in open top oak barrels. After blending, the wine matures for another 12 months in French oak barrels. Only 576 bottles were bottled!

Trial analysis
Quite intense and complex nose: in terms of fruit, we find blackberries, black cherries, blueberries and also a light floral touch. These are accompanied by pepper, tobacco and a hint of liquorice. On the palate, a fresh attack with fine acidity and soft tannins. Again lots of fruit with spicy notes and a volcanic minerality that leads this wine to a long elegant finish.
