James Suckling (96/100)
A complex red with excellent depth, showing a touch of white pepper to the dark cherries, plums and minerals. Very integrated with fresh but chalky tannins. Extremely long, caressing and driven. From old vines in Labastida. A blend of tempranillo, graciano, garnacha and other varieties.

17,50/20:
Tasted blind. A powerful, expressive wine. Notes of chocolate, coffee and cocoa, with a distinctly lactic character over a base of ripe, sweet cherry fruit. The mid palate shows an inky, almost Chinese-ink sensation, dense and concentrated, yet framed by sweet, well-integrated tannins. Fig, ripe plum and chocolate reappear through the mid palate. The finish is generous and rounded, with lingering creamy notes. This is one of the ripest expressions seen from this grower, clearly shaped by the warmth of the 2022 vintage. A bold blockbuster-style wine.
