Ritme Celler is Albert Jané’s Priorat project (Acústic, Montsant). His aim is to produce honest wines that truly reflect the appellation. The grapes come exclusively from old vines across 6 different villages in Priorat. The estate covers around 20 hectares, of which 14 are owned. Great value for money. The estate has been fully organic for about 10 years.
Vinification
Manual picking in baskets. Then fermentation and maceration for some 15 days in inox cuves. Then 10 months of élevage on French oak barriques, never new. Balance is the code word; enough fruit, enough acidity, just enough wood. No dominance of one parameter, but balance.

Trial analysis
Deep in color when viewed. The nose reveals a beautiful and complex blend of red forest fruits and blackberries. Ripe fruit, yet always balanced. Lovely spiciness, stemming both from the mineral-rich slate terroir and the abundance of plants and herbs flourishing throughout the organic vineyards. On the palate, it offers perfectly firm ripeness with a bold start. Plenty of fruit, perfectly balanced by acidity. A beautiful and complex finish.
