The 2021 Istiu was the last vintage that had the Malvasía de Sitges from older vines, which were ripped up because they were expropriated to build a road. It was a generous year, and the Malvasía is more aromatic and terpenic, perhaps less savory/salty, and it has some balsamic notes, camphor, mint and ginger. It has ripeness and very good freshness; the vines drank the water from 2020 and absorbed the sun from 2021. 910 bottles were filled in May 2022. It's very tasty and aging at a very slow pace.
