The 2006 III Lustros Gran Reserva Brut Nature is a blend of 75% Xarello and 25% Macabeo with very extensive aging of 72 months in contact with the lees before being disgorged. Yep, 72 months is five years, and it shows good complexity with a fine bouquet of antique shop, incense, freshly-baked brioche, fennel and a dash of diesel, lanolin and other mineral/chemical aromas. This is one of the best quality-to-price ratio Cavas in existence today. Drink now-2019.
