Forada is a single vineyard that Javi Revert brought back to life in 2018. A few terraces at over 800 metres altitude, with a total surface of 2.5 hectares, all north-facing. Arcos and Garnacha are the grape varieties behind Forada. The vineyard had been neglected due to its difficult working conditions and the very low yields of the vines. The soils are poor, composed of sandstone, limestone, and pebbles.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation in concrete tanks with 100% whole bunches and indigenous yeasts, without temperature control, for 20 days. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in concrete, followed by 12 months of ageing in used (neutral) 500L oak barrels. Bottled without filtration.

Trial analysis
Medium in colour for the region. Subtle on the nose with floral notes of rose, discreet Mediterranean herbs and juicy red fruit from the Garnacha. On the palate, it’s juicy and fruit-driven, but never sunny or southern in style. Arcos brings freshness, layers, peppery notes and complexity.
