This is one of the historic domains of the Ribeiro region. Located in the Valle de Avia in the beautiful green interior of Galicia. Arsenio Paz was the founder and inspirer of the estate since 1977. In 2022, José Pariente decided to take over this small boutique winery as Arsenio had no successor. This is a small 6ha estate with a good 20,000 bottles of production. José Pariente's main aim is to continue Arsenio's legacy with respect for the region and terroir.

One of our best Albariños, made from the grapes of a 180 year-old pre-phylloxeric vine . Impressive wine. Production: 5.000 bottles only.

Ventoleiro Branco is the entry-level white cuvée from Adega A Barouta, the project of Javier Alén, Dani Landi, Fernando García and Roberto Núñez in Ribeiro. The grapes come from vines aged between 20 and 70 years, planted at 170 to 230 metres above sea level. The soils are made up of sandy clay, granite and slate.

The Lumière cuvée is made with the grapes of the estate’s best terroirs (La Platera, in Pago de Miraflores) and the oldest Palomino vines (60 years old). Here can one really get to feel all the complexity and minerality of Palomino. How come we had to wait for so long before we realised that this grape which produces magnificent sherry can also offer white, non-fortified wines with such a nice saltiness?

José Luis Mateo's personal creation: he has revived a long forgotten white grape, the Monstruosa de Monterrei, which he had found in his vines. He then replanted some 750 plants of it in a small vineyard. Monstruosa refers to “monstrous” grapes, in this case showing balanced acidity and a structure that promises many years of ageing potential.

Single-vineyard Albariño from 90-year-old vines in Xesteiriña (Sanxenxo). Gneiss soils bring freshness and additional volume to the wine. Only 1,000 bottles produced. The label mentions Iraia & Edu from the Lagüiña lieu-dit.

Pack 6 bottles: 3 Ventoleiro Branco (Blanco) 2024 + 3 Ventoleiro Tinto 2024. The first red wine from this new Atlantic project by Comando G and Javier Alén. Ventoleiro does not come from a single vineyard, but from several small plots in the Val do Avia in Ribeiro. A total of 1,300 bottles were produced for this first vintage. Purely Atlantic in style, with only 11% alcohol. Very refined and mineral.
