Pack 6 bottles:
3 Ventoleiro Branco (Blanco) 2024
+
3 Ventoleiro Tinto 2024.
The first red wine from this new Atlantic project by Comando G and Javier Alén. Ventoleiro does not come from a single vineyard, but from several small plots in the Val do Avia in Ribeiro. A total of 1,300 bottles were produced for this first vintage. Purely Atlantic in style, with only 11% alcohol. Very refined and mineral.
Vinification
Each grape variety is vinified separately in stainless steel tanks. A very strict selection took place first in the vineyard and again upon arrival of the harvest. Vinification is carried out entirely with whole clusters, and fermentation relies solely on indigenous yeasts from the vineyard. No pumps are ever used and no aggressive extraction is applied. A textbook example of Comando G’s non-interventionist style. After fermentation, the wine ages for 7 months in a large 1,000-liter foudre.

Trial analysis
Bright red in colour. An original blend of red varieties such as the typical Caíño Longo and Tintorera, complemented by the white Albariño. The colour is therefore not dark, but vivid red, crystalline and transparent. Brilliant acidity on the attack, distinctly Atlantic with low alcohol. Floral nose, spicy and vibrant, with stony, mineral notes. Pure on the entry and mid-palate, with a mineral finish and length.
