Another first-born from Raúl: for the first time he has vinified a wine in Ribeira Sacra, an extremely difficult region where Spanish reds are not always the easiest to drink. Here it’s a different story: this is, without doubt, the best wine ever made in this region.
Vinification
For this wine, roughly 50% whole clusters are used, depending on the vintage. Fermentation takes place in an open 3,000-liter oak vat with indigenous yeasts. It is followed by an élevage of about 12 months in old 228-liter oak barrels.

Trial analysis
Everything in one wine: minerality (slate), power and ripe fruit — all crucial in this region. A deep nose with earthy notes and fruit aromas. Complex on the palate, again with ripe fruit and clear mineral touches. Dense and very long. Impressive.
