The village red 2024 Valtuille Vino de Villa mixes grapes from four or five zones of the village, mostly Matalospardos, planted with old vines and a field blend of Mencía, Garnacha Tintorera, Trousseau and other whites. It fermented with 30% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in oak vats with a maceration of around 40 days, and it matured in well-seasoned, neutral 225- and 500-liter barrels. It has contained ripeness and 13.3% alcohol, with a pH of 3.68 and 5.19 grams of acidity, coming through as medium-bodied, balanced and characterful, with fine tannins. This is a good representation of the village.
