Cantos del Diablo is a small 0.3 ha parcel located 900 metres above sea level - which makes it the highest of the whole Mentrida appellation. Granite soils, North exposition, 70-year-old vines on average.

Daniel Landi is one of the most talked-about young winemakers in Spain. He has set Sierra de Gredos back on the wine map of Spain. This Uvas de la Ira blend (Spanish for Grapes of Wrath, like the John Steinbeck novel) is his entry level wine. But what an entry level wine! It is made with old grenaches from different part of the Sierra, mainly on slate (pizarra).
