Artisan-made Vermouth. White Spanish wine from Priorat with an infusion of aromatic herbs. To make this vermouth, an infusion is made based on more than 110 different plants that have soaked in a wooden barrel with wine for more than a year. This infusion is blended with a white Spanish wine based on Macabeo and Garnacha Blanca. A white wine that has had contact with the skins of the grapes so that the wine has more aromas and a darker colour. The whole thing is kept in old wooden barrels for at least two years until the vermouth has the desired colour and aromas.

Trial analysis
Amber colour with a golden sheen from oxidised ageing in wooden barrels. The first olfactory impressions are powerful aromas of a Mediterranean forest (rosemary, eucalyptus, thyme, fennel, tobacco leaf) and the ensemble of aromatic herbs in which the vermouth has soaked. The second olfactory impressions offer lovely notes of old wood, soil after a rain, truffle and honey aromas. On the palate, this vermouth is very balanced, with a perfectly dosed sweetness at the start that contrasts with the acidity and bitterness of the spice soaking, making for a very pleasant and distinctive result with notes of artichoke, thyme and fennel.

Priorat Natur, S.L. is born out of a wish: the wish to pass on the traditions and way of life of the Priorat, its crops and delicacies.
Everything started in 1996, during a family dinner. On the table were the olives, the home-made almonds and jams that are part of the region's heritage but that were in danger of disappearing with the competition of industrial products.
People at Priorat Natur firmly believe in passing on this gastronomic heritage, from generation to generation, even amongst the younger generation.
