The most continental of Spain's wine region is home to famous denominations like Rueda, in white, and Ribera del Duero, in red - the main grape of this DO being Tempranillo, a short-circle varietal which is very well suited to the high-altitude Castilian plateau. Another great wine from Álvaro Palacios and his nephew Ricardo. Las Lamas is one of the estate’s Grand Crus, from a superb vineyard on a steep slate slope. Barely 1.6 hectares of old Mencía vines, complemented by a small amount of Palomino and Tintorera. Las Lamas is usually the more structured of the crus, but in fine vintages it retains that typical Atlantic touch, with plenty of finesse. Very limited availability!

Entry-level wine from this house. Honest, tasty and super-fruity. Pétalos = flower petals. Mainly from vineyards in and around Corullón. Mainly Mencía, but also quite a few unknown white and red grape varieties from the region due to the use of vieilles vignes. In 2021, it was named the best red wine in the world for value for money by Wine Spectator.

Tempranillo (100%)
An old 1.5-hectare vineyard with twisted, gnarled vines and extremely low yields. This “S” cuvée is only produced in the finest vintages.
1800 cl. (Melchior)
Tempranillo grapes from Roa, specifically from the north-facing La Loma vineyard, located at 845 meters above sea level. Doble M stands for Manuela and Mauro Special Selection.
Tinto Fino (100%)
This is the second wine of Peter Sisseck's legendary Pingus. Biodynamic estate.
