The 2005 Vina Pedrosa Gran Reserva is more “jubilant” and flamboyant on the nose than the 2006 with touches of kirsch, crushed violet and flecks of dark chocolate. The palate offers hints of toffee and mocha infusing the seductive red berry fruit. It is well-balanced with crisp acidity and a pleasing menthol-tinged finish. Drink now-2019.
