This small Catalan region, in the Province of Tarragona, has a long wine tradition. Its potential is determined for a good part by its microclimate (Mediterranean, but with sea breezes in the afternoon), its altitude and its geology (the famous llicorella slate). It is now world famous thanks to the “New ...

75 cl.
2016
A wine from another planet! Until now, this Gran Buig has only been made in 1998 and 2004. And why is that? You have to taste it to believe it. This is the quintessence of the estate's old Grenache and Carignan vines (400 gr/cep)! Without doubt the best blend of these two grape varieties in the world. Absolutely superb! Very limited production!

Cariñena (100%)
2023
The Arbossar cuvée is a 100% Carignan from sheer slopes between 300 and 350 m high, facing North. The result is quite exceptional.
2022
Dits del Terra comes from 100 year-old carignan vines oriented to the South, very different from those at Arbossar, on the Northern side. Biodynamic and non-interventionist. The bunches are not de-stemmed and so they are vinified whole. Then they are left to macerate slowly, without adding any enzymes or yeasts. No pumping over and no treading during fermentation. This is the only way to obtain such a refined Priorat wine.

Garnatxa Peluda (100%)
A Grand Cru-style wine, 100% Grenache. Exceptional on all accounts, it comes from a 850 metre-high vine located above Scala Dei. It is one of the rare spots where there is no llicorella (the local slate, but a limestone-based rocky soil. And this is also one of the Priorat's greatest wines.

Les Tosses is a spectacular high-altitude vineyard, whose soils are composed of the local slate, named Llicorella. the Carignan vines are 100 year-old. It is thus the quintessential Carignan wine of the Priorat. Very small yield.
2008
Macabeu (34%), Garnatxa blanca (33%), Pedro Ximénez (33%)
Limestone or gypse, in catalan. Which looks more like the soils of Jerez than any other part of the Priorat denomination. This top cuvée of estate is a blend of Macabeu, PX (back to Jerez!) and grenache blanc.
Garnatxa blanca (70%), Pedro Ximénez (30%)
This is the white "village wine" of Terroir al Limit. It is mainly composed of Pedro Ximénez, both spicy and Mediterranean, and a little Muscat d'Alexandrie. Refinement and minerality at its best!
Cariñena (50%), Garnatxa (50%)
Terra de Cuques Negre reflects the terroir of the village of Torroja. The Carinyena, planted on llicorella soils, provides the structure, backbone and acidity, while the Garnacha from clay soils brings elegant expression and red fruit. The vines are between 25 and 40 years old and are planted at an altitude of 300 to 350 metres.
Merlot (28%), Garnatxa (27%), Cariñena (21%), Cabernet Sauvignon (12%), Syrah (12%)

Embruix mainly comes from young vines, planted in the 90's, with a complement of some old Grenache and Carignan. But this wine was meant to please. And it does. It is both supple and sensual, and what's more, its has a very good price quality relation. Embruix means bewitched. which is what you will be when you drink it!
Garnatxa (36%), Carinyena (26%), Merlot (18%), Syrah (12%), Cabernet Sauvignon (8%)
