The La Petxina vineyard, located in the El Sas zone, forms the basis of this juicy and vibrant red made from grenache and carinyena. Until recently, a small amount of cabernet was included, but today the blend consists exclusively of 70% garnatxa and 30% carinyena.
The soil is composed of spotted phyllite, a light, slate-like formation. The grenache and carinyena vines were planted between 1994 and 1998.
First vintage produced in 2008.
Vinification
The grapes undergo separate fermentation in underground, renovated concrete tanks. Maturation then takes place together for ten months in used large oak casks (foudres) and 3,000-litre concrete vats.
This is followed by a minimum of twelve months of bottle ageing.

Trial analysis
Nice expression of Grenache (60% of the blend).
Sour cherry, minerality, a spiciness typical of Priorat. Juicy, but also well-structured and with a long finish.
