The top of this estate's range. Costero is a plot of old vines on sheer slopes of schist (not terraced). It is quite different from the Negre cuvée, both more powerful and more typical of the place (here the French grapes only play a secondary part).
Nunci means village crier - the profession of the ex-owner of the estate.

Trial analysis
Very dark colour. Quite dense on the nose at first, it reveals little by little its Mediterranean character, its minerality and red fruit aromas.
Well structured and meaty on the palate, with a good acidity but soft tannins. A perfect balance.
A powerful, mineral finish, with very well-integrated wood notes.
Outstanding and full of personality.
