Since 2022, Dani and Fer have been making these “vinos de pueblo”, each crafted from old vines that would otherwise have been condemned to oblivion. The vineyards of Navatalgordo lie at an average altitude of 1100 metres, directly opposite the famed Rumbo al Norte vineyard. Navatalgordo’s most renowned cru is “Tamboril”, and also its rarest. This 100% Garnacha wine reflects all the hallmarks of its terroir: freshness, elegance, and a lower alcohol content than the other vinos de pueblo.
Vinification
From old-vine Garnacha grown on granite soils with quartz. Very low yields, and all vineyards are farmed biodynamically. The grapes are not destemmed and are macerated and fermented as whole bunches. Ageing takes place in wooden foudres and cement vats. Fresh style.

Trial analysis
Bright red in the glass. On the nose, plenty of red fruit: redcurrant, cherries, and a hint of wild strawberry. On the palate, vibrant and pronounced acidity forms the backbone. Lots of freshness. You can clearly taste the high-altitude origin of the vineyards. A beautiful, complex finish. Top-notch stuff!
