The Grenache "Commandos" often find some inspiration in Burgundy, as is shown with this wine.
Beside their single vineyard selections - what one could call Grands Crus, they have made a "Premier Cru", Rozas de Puerrto Real, from a 900-meter-high vine.
Vinification
Non-interventionist winemaking, as usual. Low yields, old wines in altitude. Maceration and fermentation without any temperature control nor de-stemming. Then the wine is aged in oak barrels and vats - always used.

Trial analysis
Bright red colour with some pinkish reflections. A whole basket of fruit in the nose - berries, cherries, spices…
A rather light but very complex wine with an impressive finish. Grenache at its best!
