Very fine, chalky tannins from this warm vintage, showing refinement and freshness. Long, spicy finish. Really solid.

The 2022 Roda is perhaps more black-fruited than red in this very warm and dry vintage. Produced with a blend of Tempranillo with 2% Garnacha and 7% Graciano, it fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in 40/60 new and second-use French barriques for 14 months. It's spicy and more Mediterranean, with notes of aromatic herbs and a medium- to full-bodied palate, good ripeness, a moderate (for the year) 14% alcohol, a pH of 3.58 and 5.8 grams of acidity. It has slightly more rustic tannins this year. It calls for food.
